Preparing your home for sale:
 
When selling your home, presentation is very important. The
following suggestions will help us get the best possible sales price
for you if they are done prior to and/or during the marketing
campaign:
 
  • Do a ‘spring clean’ prior to placing your home on the market
        -this could include cleaning kitchens and bathrooms,
         windows, curtains, blinds, floors and floor coverings, walls
         and ceilings
  •  Carry out any obvious maintenance that needs attention –
    this could include cleaning of roof gutters, removing or
    relocating timber that is in contact with the ground, ensuring
    all lighting is in working order, weeding and trimming
    overgrown plants in the garden and any other items that may
    turn away potential buyers if not attended to
  •  Once the property is on the market, ensure the gardens and
    lawns are well maintained and the home is kept clean and
    tidy.
  • Ensure the home is ‘uncluttered’ to enhance the spaciousness
    of each room
  • When there are inspections, open the blinds and curtains for
    a brighter feel, or if necessary turn on the lights. 
  •  If there are ‘open house’ inspections planned, place fresh
    flowers in main rooms, and/or have a nice coffee brewing
    and/or have fresh bread baking in the oven.
  • Please remember to secure jewellery, cash, medication and other valuables
